Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
Permanent supportive housing (PSH) is a housing model that provides affordable, long-term housing alongside voluntary supportive services to individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, aiming to help them maintain housing stability by addressing underlying issues like mental health, substance use, or disability through tailored support services, with the key principle of "housing first" meaning access to housing is not contingent on prior completion of treatment programs; essentially, providing a stable home base to then build upon with additional support services to improve quality of life and prevent relapse into homelessness.
Referrals for our PSH units will come through the Coordinated Entry system, run by the City of Ocala's Office of Homeless Prevention.
