​​​Saving Mercy provides a wide range of services and assistance for families and individuals who have either experienced chronic homelessness, or who may be at-risk of being homeless. The goal of Saving Mercy is to assist those who have struggled with homelessness to become self-sufficient.

Mercy Village coming soon!

We're excited to announce that construction has officially begin on Mercy Village - a vibrant new community dedicated to providing safe, stable housing for those in need. The project includes a 59-unit apartment complex and 10 duplexes, totaling 79 homes. 

These homes are expected to be ready by December 2025, offering hope, dignity, and a fresh start to individuals and families who need it the most.

Q: What is Saving Mercy?
A: Saving Mercy is a nonprofit organization providing permanent supportive housing (PSH) and affordable housing to individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We are not a shelter or transitional housing program.
 
Q: What types of housing do you offer?
A: Saving Mercy Duplexes:
  • 2 permanent supportive housing units (PSH)
  • 18 duplex units, prioritized for people experiencing homelessness, units require a 12-month lease
All units are one-bedrooms with a 12-month lease.

Carrfour Building:
  • 30 PSH units
  • 29 low-income units
All units are one-bedroom apartments with a 12-month lease. We can only accept 2 individuals per unit.

Q: I’m currently homeless. What’s the first step?
A: If you're experiencing homelessness, the first step is to contact the City of Ocala’s Office of Homeless Prevention 352-629-8390. They can help assess your needs and make referrals to appropriate housing resources, including Saving Mercy.

Q: Who can apply for housing?
A: Our housing is for both men and women. PSH units are designed for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, have a disability, and who need supportive services. Low-income units are available to individuals meeting income eligibility.
 
Q: When can I apply for the Carrfour Building?
A: The application for the Carrfour Building is not yet available. We expect it to be released in early fall. Please check back or follow us on social media for updates.
 
Q: Do you provide shelter or temporary housing?
A: No. We are not a shelter or transitional housing provider. All units are long-term, with 12-month leases.
 
Q: What supportive services are available?
A: Case management is offered to connect residents to community-based services that address issues such as mental health, substance use, employment, and daily living needs.
 
Q: Are there any community rules?
A: Yes. All residents must follow neighborhood guidelines designed to support a safe, respectful, and supportive living environment.
 
Q: Where are you located?
A: Saving Mercy is located at: 3601 W Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL 34475. We are accessible by SunTran Bus Route 3 – West Marion, which stops near our neighborhood.
 
Q: Do you serve veterans?
A: Yes. Veterans are welcome and encouraged to apply. We work closely with community partners to connect veterans to any additional services they may qualify for.
